B.The characteristics of civil society
Discourse of civil society in Indonesia has evolved in the late 1990 decade, which began when a multi-dimensional crisis of the new order of government. Many experts who gave opinions about the term civil society. There is also a state of civil society is civil society, which defines a civil society is a civilized society, and so on. Regarding the use of the term civil society, most scholars in Indonesia have agreed when used as the equivalent of the right to stilah civil society. Although the term civil society in Europe and other countries have long been known but until now there has been no agreement. All terms will be adjusted with the views of these experts.
As an illustration of civil society there are some things to be characterized, among others:
1. Civilized societies, have rules and are not wild.
Civilized society is the description of the community who know grammar respect life, respect, about life and the regular order. Also known civil society norms, comply with the good and not mengenat wild nature or anarchy.
2. Masyrakat a democratic, has a creative power, critical and participatory.
The purpose of society is a society that manusi dignity-a dignity or human rights and contribute to the government, people capable of working force with good authority, trying to create something new and useful, responsive to the development. In this community residents aware of the rights and obligations well.
3. Independent society, free from the pressure of the authorities, but responsibility.
Independent society that does not mean society depends on the ruler so freely without the pressure to develop the potential, independence of political life, economic, social and cultural, but not be free and unrestricted. Every citizen will share responsibility for the common good, or good self-development potential physical or spiritual.
Forms of civil society that we aspire to is actually a society does away with the term fair and prosperous society. In daily life has occurred simply by the culture of mutual cooperation.
